Are you a military or civilian aircraft maintainer with 30 months of experience? You could be eligible for FAA Certification. The UAF Community & Technical College Aviation Program is offering a new 9-week, evening course to prepare military and apprentice mechanics for the Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic FAA Certification test.
This course will include practice exams, example questions/answers (written, oral, and practical), and hands-on practice in many areas of the FAA Practical Exam.
Enrollment requirements include 30 months of experience in aircraft maintenance and expectation of prior knowledge in AMT vocabulary and basic tools. To be eligible, students must meet the experience requirements of 14 CFR 65.77 as evidenced by an approved FAA Form 8610-2.
Course dates: February 26 – April 25, 2024 (9 weeks)
Course days/times: Mon – Thurs, 5-9 pm
